Make a conscience effort to listen to the words you use every day. Over time you will begin to hear a difference between the positive and negative words you use. Choose to speck positive words, not only about others, but about yourself as well.
Make a list of the positive words you would like to hear others say about you. Post this list in your home, in your car, and at work. Read this list every morning when you look in the mirror. Begin to belive that these words are really who you are.
Start to use these positive word when you feel down, defeated, overwhelmed, or even depressed. The words you speak too and about yourself, even in your subconscious mind, have the power to raise you up and out of any situation you may be facing today.
Instead of gossiping in a negative way about someone who is causing you problems, begin with positive words about this person. You do not have to like them or appreciate them at the time. Just choose your words wisely and see what happens.
