How to Choose Your Words Wisely

Make a conscience effort to listen to the words you use every day. Over time you will begin to hear a difference between the positive and negative words you use. Choose to speck positive words, not only about others, but about yourself as well.

Make a list of the positive words you would like to hear others say about you. Post this list in your home, in your car, and at work. Read this list every morning when you look in the mirror. Begin to belive that these words are really who you are.

Start to use these positive word when you feel down, defeated, overwhelmed, or even depressed. The words you speak too and about yourself, even in your subconscious mind, have the power to raise you up and out of any situation you may be facing today.

Instead of gossiping in a negative way about someone who is causing you problems, begin with positive words about this person. You do not have to like them or appreciate them at the time. Just choose your words wisely and see what happens.

  • Not everyone will understand this new way that you using your words. When someone is critical of you for being positive, and feel the urge to say something negative about them, stop for just a moment and reflect on the situation. Explain to them what you are trying to accomplish. Who knows, taking the time to choose your words wisely could change both your lives.
  • We have all heard the saying "you are what you eat". The same can be said of the words we speak. In God's words " We are what we think". The words we speak have power. Mans words have the power to create, and power to start wars. Choosing the words you speak about yourself and others wisely can mean the difference between life and death.
