Liver Cleanse Recipe

Here is a simple recipe to cleanse your liver. It's best to begin your liver detox on a day when you're able to relax, such as a Saturday. You'll need 4 tablespoons of Epsom salt and ½ or 1 cup of extra virgin olive oil. Please note, if this is your first time preparing this mixture, you might try the smaller quantity because of the taste. Squeeze the juice from two or three grapefruits (approximately 2/3 or ¾ cup). Alternatively, you can also use 30 lemons (approximately 10.6 ounces). Include four capsules of ornithine, an amino acid, to induce sleep.

On the day you begin your liver detox, it's important not to have a heavy breakfast. Stick with fresh fruit and juices, bread and honey. Avoid taking medication that's not absolutely necessary. After consuming these foods, it's important not to eat after 2 p.m.

Combine 3 tablespoons of Epsom salt with 3 cups of water. This mixture should last for 4 servings, each equaling ¾ cup. Drink this mixture at 2 p.m., 6 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.

At 9:45 p.m., prepare ½ cup of olive oil and mix with ¾ cup of grapefruit juice, making sure the ingredients are thoroughly combined. Around 10 p.m., drink this mixture and take the four capsules of ornithine.

Rest for 20 minutes. It's important to lie face up with your head resting on the pillow, and try to remain motionless. Because of the ornithine capsules, you should experience a sound sleep.

Preferably at 6 a.m., drink the third dosage of Epsom salt. At 8 a.m. take the last dosage of this mixture. Around 10 a.m. you should begin eating something easy to digest, like fruit. This detox recipe should be done twice a year. It will aid the liver's ability to regenerate new liver cells.

Ultimate Liver Cleanser

Here another quick recipe that's easy to make. Combine 10.14 ounces of distilled water with the juice from two grapefruits, 2 tablespoons of cold-pressed flax oil, the juice from four lemons, 2 inches of ginger root, a clove of garlic, 1 teaspoon of acidophilus and a dash of cayenne pepper. Combine all juices, grated garlic and ginger in the blender. Add water and acidophilus and blend for 35-40 seconds. Add a dash of cayenne pepper to taste.
