You can use natural products at home to soften ear wax and cure a blockage. By putting a few drops of baby oil, hydrogen peroxide or mineral oil in your ear twice a day for five days, the wax will become soft and easier to remove.
Once you have softened the wax sufficiently, you may attempt to flush the wax out of your ear. Fill a bulb syringe with warm water, and gently squirt it into your ear. When the ear is full, turn your head and let the water and softened wax drain out.
According to the Mayo Clinic, you should never try to dig out earwax with objects like cotton swabs or hairpins. Not only are you likely to push wax further into your ear canal, but you can injure your ear canal or eardrum by inserting any foreign object into your ear.
